The day before your spray tan
Shave where desired. (the body parts you usually shave)
Exfoliate your body and face with an oil-free product, paying special attention to dry areas like your feet, knees and elbows. You can also use a washcloth, a sponge, sugar, or salt-based scrub.
Do not apply any lotions, creams, foundations, deodorants or perfumes.
Wear dark, loose fitting clothes (e.g. tracksuit, sweatpants, loose dress). Tight fitting clothing will most likely cause friction and rub off the tan. If it’s going to rain, wear long sleeves and pants and bring an umbrella.
It is better if you have nail polish on before your tan. It prevents your nails from staining. If you have acrylic nails or a gel manicure before your spray tan appointment, the spray solution will not ruin your nails.
If you have long hair, tie it up.
Remove make-up. (You can leave your eye makeup on.)
Remember to inform the technician of any very dry skin areas, wounds and allergies.
Decide if you will go topless or nude for your spray tan. You can also wear your own or disposable underwear.
Remove all jewelry.
